‘Once Upon A Time’: major cast exits suggest a reboot for Season 7

“Once Upon A Time” has been renewed for Season 7 by ABC. As already reported, Jennifer Morrison will not return as Emma Swan. Now comes the news that her character’s family will not be returning as series regulars either.

Emma’s parents Snow White/Mary Margaret and Prince Charming/David, played by Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas as well as Emma’s son, Henry played Jared S. Gilmore are all leaving the show after six seasons. Also leaving are Rebecca Mader as Wicked Witch/Zelena and Emilie de Ravin as Belle.

Lana Parrilla as the Evil Queen/Regina, Colin O’Donoghue as Hook and Robert Carlyle as Rumplestiltskin/Mr. Gold will lead the show moving forward. New cast regulars, Andrew J. West (The Walking Dead) and Alison Fernandez (Jane the Virgin), debut in their new roles on Sunday’s two-hour season six finale.

The series takes place in the fictional town of Storybrooke, Maine, which is populated with fairytale characters once cursed by the Evil Queen Regina to live in our world, deprived of their memories and happy endings. All that changed, however, with the arrival of Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison), the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming.
