72nd Annual Tony Awards 2018: Complete Winners List

The Tony Awards took place in New York last night where the best of the stage was celebrated. Josh Groban and Sara Bareilles hosted the ceremony, which aired live on CBS. The duo providing plenty of entertainment and laughs for the night. Their opening number featured double pianos for a Bareilles penned number about sitting in the audience after losing the award. 

“The Band’s Visit” took home the most trophies of the night with 10 total, including Best Musical and Tonys for its leads Tony Shalhoub, Katrina Lenk and Ari’el Stachel.

“Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Parts One and Two” won Best Play.” Once on This Island” took home Best Revival of a Musical, while “Angels in America” was named Best Revival of a Play. 

Bruce Springsteen won a special Tony Award for his sold-out Broadway show, “Springsteen on Broadway.” Andrew Lloyd Webber and Broadway star, Chita Rivera both received lifetime achievement awards.
