Shawn Mendes was the musical guest on the May 4 edition of “Saturday Night Live” hosted by SNL alum Adam Sandler who returned after leaving the show 24 years ago. The appearance tied into the release of Shawn’s new song, “If I Can’t Have You” which was just released on Friday.
The singer also performed a version of his hit “In My Blood” and acted in a sketch as a relative of Sandler’s for the “Sandler Family Reunion,” making light of the resemblance between him and Sandler. They even wore matching shirts in the sketch and Shawn wore a wig to match the actor’s hairstyle.
