Kirk Franklin Credit:Getty ImagesGospel music superstar Kirk Franklin will be the subject of a Sony biopic, Deadline reports. The untitled movie is being produced by former Sony exec DeVon Franklin via his Franklin Entertainment banner, while Franklin will serve as an executive producer through his label Fo Yo Soul Entertainment.
Franklin, often dubbed as the king of gospel music, released his first album in 1993 called Kirk Franklin & The Family. He has numerous hits since, and currently hosts “Sunday’s Best,” a reality competition show looking for the next great Gospel superstar.
