Season 19 of The Voice held the first live results show of the season.
The Top 17 appeared on stage in front of coaches Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani for their chance at a spot in the Top 9 with Carson Daly hosting the show.
The results were that one from each team was revealed as safe by America’s votes. Each Coach then selected an additional artist to move forward. The artist with the next highest overnight votes from each team competed in the Wildcard Instant Save for the last spot in the Top 9.

The second-highest vote-getters from each team then performed against each other for the wildcard spot. They were

Worth The Wait (Team Blake)- “I’m Gonna Love You Through It” by Martina McBride
Bailey Rae (Team Legend)- “Never Again, Again” by Lee Ann Womack
The winner of the instant save voted on by America was Bailey Rae of Team Legend . Tanner, Payge and Worth The Wait were then eliminated.
The Top 9 will perform on Monday, December 7.
