American Idol aired on Sunday, May 5th with the Top 7 contestants performing to make the Top of the competition.

Ciara was the guest mentor. The theme was “songs that make me want to dance” and songs by Adele.

The bottom contestants with the lowest amount of votes were McKenna Faith Breinholt and Julia Gagnon which made them both be eliminated from the show.

The Top 5 contestants are Jack Blocker, Emmy Russell, Abi Carter, Triston Harper, Will Mosley.

American Idol airs live coast -to- coast this Sunday, May 12. The Top 5 travel to Walt Disney World, The Most Magical Place On Earth, with guest mentor Kane Brown before performing two beloved favorites from the Disney Songbook.

Jenifer Lewis will perform “Dig a Little Deeper” during the “American Idol” Disney Night episode. Terence Blanchard will accompany Jenifer on the trumpet Opening this summer at Walt Disney World Resort and later this year at Disneyland Resort, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will take guests on a musical adventure inspired by Walt Disney Animation Studios’ film, “The Princess and the Frog”.

The attraction’s story picks up where the film left off as guests will join Princess Tiana, Naveen, Mama Odie, jazz-loving alligator Louis and a brand-new cast of original characters on an adventure through the bayou as they prepare to host a one-of-a-kind celebration during Mardi Gras season.

Jenifer Lewis stars as the voice of Mama Odie in the film and also lends her voice to the attraction.
Terence Blanchard, a featured musician in Disney Animation’s “The Princess and the Frog” arranged and produced music in the attraction’s queue.
The show will conclude with the results .America votes live for the Top 3 heading to the finale.

American Idol airs live on Sundays on ABC.
