The Daytime Emmy Awards 2024 made history when the show aired live on CBS. Television legend Dick Van Dyke took home the Emmy for Outstanding Guest Performance in a Daytime Drama Series for his stint on Peacock’s “Days of our Lives.” Van Dyke played Mystery Man/Timothy Robicheaux and becomes the oldest person to win a Daytime Emmy ever.
“General Hospital” was the night’s big winner taking home Emmy Awards for Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Writing and Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series. “General Hospital” also took home an acting award for Outstanding Supporting Performance in a Daytime Drama Series: Actor for Robert Gossett. Gossett took home the same award last year for his role as Marshall Ashford.
The show was hosted by “Entertainment Tonight’s” Kevin Frazier and Nischelle Turner. Longtime daytime staples Melody Thomas Scott and Ed Scott received the Lifetime Achievement Award for their work on “The Young and the Restless” and “The Bold and the Beautiful.” The Creative Arts Emmys Ceremony will stream on the Emmys Channel on Saturday, June 8 at Creative Emmys.
