Former Republican Vice-Presidential candidate, Sarah Palin surprised the nation today by resigning her role as the Governor of the state of Alaska. The timing of the resignation, which some political experts have been described as puzzling, has fueled speculation as to the real reason for her resignation. Reasons being sited are many, from eagerness to advance her national political career to criticism over her interests outside of the office (namely her book deals) conflicting with her gubernatorial duties.
