Reports and rumors are swirling that How I Met Your Mother star Neil Patrick Harris will host the Emmy Awards on September 20th on CBS. Harris, who hosted this years Tony Awards to well-received reviews, seems like the logical choice for the gig. He’s a multiple nominee himself and his hit series, How I Met Your Mother, returns for it’s fifth season on Monday, September 21st. It’s a done deal according to EW’s Michael Ausiello. An official announcement is expected next week.
