Katy Perry received MTV’s Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at this year’s Video Music Awards. The “California Girls” singer performed a mega-medley of her biggest hits on a grand stage that began with her extended in air across the stage. She also performed her single “Lifetimes,” along with other hits including “Roar,” “I Kissed a Girl,” and “E.T.” Perry’ s new album, 143, comes out September 20.
Perry’s long-time partner Orlando Bloom was on hand to present the award to her. She thanked him for the support and for doing the dishes. She also gave a nod to all of the rising young artists.
