“All My Children” actor J.R. Martinez took home the mirror balled trophy as the winner of “Dancing With The Stars” last night. The military veteran turned motivational speaker and actor beat out 11 celebrities in the 10 week long competition that included Nancy Grace, Carson Kressley and Ron Artest. This marks the first win for Martinez’ professional dance partner, Karina Smirnoff.
Rob Kardashian and Cheryl Burke finished in second place, while Ricki Lake and Derek Hough were eliminated in the first round on Tuesday night’s show.
All of this season’s eliminated contestants were on hand to watch JR win as well as his “All my Children” co-stars.
Martinez and Smirnoff will hit the talk show circuit as the winners beginning with appearances on “Good Morning America” and “The View.”
