NBA 2011: basketball lockout over, games could start as early as Christmas Day

Good news for all NBA basketball fans. According to reports, a tentative agreement was reached between the NBA Owners and The Players Association to start the NBA season which could begin as early as Christmas Day. Training camps will open in December 9 and the season will be shortened to 66 games instead of the regular 82 per season.

The deal is “subject to a variety of approvals and very complex machinations, but we’re optimistic that will all come to pass and that the NBA season will begin Dec. 25,” NBA commissioner David Stern said.
