Video: Richie Sambora and Orianthi talk music at ASCAP nomination celebration

ASCAP presented their annual Grammy nomination celebraton on Friday, February 12 at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills. The event included Grammy nominees, executives, music industry members and friends to kick off Grammy weekend with fancy cocktails, foot and, of course, music. Jazmine Sullivan, nominee for Best Traditional R&B Performance, Best R&B Song and Best R&B Album, captivated the crowd with soulful versions of her nominated song “Let It Burn” and “Stupid Girl,” both from her nominated album “Reality Show.”

ASCAP CEO Beth Matthews, President Paul Williams and other top ASCAP members were on hand to greet ASCAP nominees including Lee Ann Womack (Best Country Song, “Chances Are”), James Fauntleroy (Album of the Year, To Pimp a Butterfly), Anna Wise (Album of the Year, To Pimp a Butterfly and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration, “These Walls”),Dave Bassett (Best Rock Song, “Ex’s & Oh’s”), Jake Gosling (Record of the Year,Thinking Out Loud), Morgan Heritage (Best Reggae Album, Strictly Roots) and ASCAP Board member Marcus Miller (Best Contemporary Instrumental Album, Afrodeezia).

Claudia Brant, Bridget Kelly, Victoria Monet, Mali Music, No ID,R. City, Orianthi and Richie Sambora were also in attendance.
