Lita Ford and Shirley Manson among honorees at the She Rock Awards at NAMM

Every year during NAMM weekend, the She Rock Awards takes place. This year the awards show will take place on Firday, January 20, 2017 at Anaheim Hilton Hotel. 


The awards show pays tribute to women in the music industry who have leadship and influences people in their field.

The 2017 honorees include Monique Boyer, Rebecca Eaddy, Lita Ford, Beverly Fowler, Lisa Foxx, Charyn Harris, Karrie Keyes, Tracy Leenman, Dani Markman, Shirley Manson, Esperanza Spalding, and Leanne Summers. 

Manson is best known as the front person of the band Garage.

Ford has been rocking the scenes since the late 70s as a member of The Runaways to a successful solo career.

The awards will be hosted by Christina Devine of Fox News. Devine is an anchor on Fox 11 news in Los Angeles. She was named one of the Top 50 women changing Los Angeles by Los Angeles magazine. She also mentors artists, is a songwriter and music producer. She is also married to musician Sean McNabb who has performed with Quiet Riot, Dokken and currently in the band Lynch Mob.

The She Rocks Awards will also celebrate the launch of a new compilation album of female guitar players, She Rocks, Vol. 1. will be released on on January 20, 2017 on Steve Vai’s Favored Nations Entertainment label. Featured on the album will be Orianthi, Yasi Hofer, Kat Dyson, Sarah Longfield, Lita Ford, Jennifer Batten, Nita Strauss, Steph Paynes, Nili Brosh, Gretchen Menn, and Yvette Young.
