Vanessa Williams returns to TV in the new series, “Daytime Divas” premiering June 5 on VH1. The soap about a “fictional” talk show and the behind the scenes antics of the co-hosts has a sense of realness to it. It’s inspired by the novel “Satan’s Sisters” written by former “The View” co-host Star Jones, who also serves as a producer on the series.

About the series:

Every weekday at noon, Maxine (Vanessa Williams), Mo (Tichina Arnold), Heather (Fiona Gubelmann), Kibby (Chloe Bridges), and Nina (Camille Guaty) – hosts of “The Lunch Hour,” the long-running women’s talk show – gather around the table to discuss life, love, politics, and juicy gossip. But behind the scenes, it’s even juicier – a backstage world filled with power struggles, diva fits, and steamy affairs.
