The American Music Awards at tonight live on ABC (tape delayed – West Coast) with “Black-ish” star Tracee Ellis Ross serving as host. Some of the biggest names in music are expected to attend including music icon and Tracee’s mom, Diana Ross. The legendary singer and Oscar-nominated actress will receive this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award.

Bruno Mars is one of the most recognized artists with eight AMA nominations. The “Versace on the Floor” singer is nominated for: Artist of the Year, Video of the Year, Favorite Male Artist – Pop/Rock, Favorite Album – Pop/Rock, Favorite Male Artist – Soul/R&B, Favorite Album – Soul/R&B, Favorite Song – Soul/R&B and Favorite Artist – Adult Contemporary.
Also nominated for Artist of the Year are The Chainsmokers, Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and Ed Sheeran are all up for the award.
