The 2018 TCM Classic Film Festival is heading back to Hollywood from April 26- April 29. A wide range of films will be covered this year with a wide range of programming themes, including the festival’s central theme Powerful Words: The Page Onscreen.

This year’s special guests include Hollywood icon Mel Brooks who will introduce his Oscar-winning film, “The Producers.”

Brooks won his first Oscar in 1964 for writing and narrating the animated short The Critic (1963) and his second in 1969 for the screenplay of his first feature film, The Producers (1968). Many hit comedy films followed including The Twelve Chairs (1970), Blazing Saddles (1974), Young Frankenstein (1974), Silent Movie (1976), High Anxiety (1977), History of the World Part I (1981), To Be or Not to Be (1983), Spaceballs (1987), Life Stinks (1991), Robin Hood: Men in Tights (1993) and Dracula: Dead and Loving It (1995).

In keeping with TCM tradition, all Festival screenings include special introductions to provide context about each film.  Specific details about each screening will be announced in the weeks and months ahead, including guest appearances by actors, actresses, directors, producers and other key figures.
