This year HBO’s breakout show, “Westworld” received an astonishing 21 Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series, 2 for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series (Ed Harris, Jeffrey Wright), Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series (Evan Rachel Wood), Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series (Thandie Newton) and Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series (Jimmi Simpson). The number of nominations is not surprising, especially the one for Outstanding Costume Design for Oscar-nominated designer Sharen Davis.

Davis, who is a two-time Oscar nominee for “Dreamgirls” and “Ray,” is nominated for an Emmy for the first time in the Outstanding Fantasy/Sci-Fi Costume category for her “Westworld” episode that introduced Shogun World.

TVMusic Network caught up with Davis at the “Art of Television Costume Design” Exhibition to get her thoughts on the nomination and about working on such a popular show.
