NBC’s hit series “This Is Us” has cast actor Carl Lumby as Beth’s father according to Deadline. Beth (Susan Kelechi Watson) has been a loving supportive wife to Randall (Sterling K. Brown) and now viewers will see bits of her life in order to give insight into the woman she is today.
The show has also cast Rachel Naomi Harris and Akira Akbar as teenage and child Beth respectively and Phylicia Rashad and Goran Visnjic in previously announced roles.
Teenage Beth and young Beth will make their first appearance in the February 19 episode titled “Our Little Island Girl” alongside Lumbly which will focus on Beth’s backstory. Produced by 20th Century Fox TV, This is Us is executive produced by creator Fogelman, Isaac Aptaker, Elizabeth Berger, John Requa, Glenn Ficarra, Ken Olin, Charlie Gogolak and Jess Rosenthal.
