Watch: Megan Thee Stallion’s Powerful performance of ‘Savage’ on ‘Saturday Night Live’

Megan Thee Stallion

Megan The Stallion made her musical debut on “Saturday Night Live” with Chris Rock as the host. What came as a striking surprise was Megan’s bold, politically-charged message in which she called for the protection of Black women and called out Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron over his handling of the Breonna Taylor case.

In “Savage,” a song she recorded with Beyoncé, Megan stopped her performance with a video of bullets being shot through a window, accompanied with quotes from Malcolm X and activist, Tamika Mallory, one of the leading organizers of the 2017 Women’s March.

She called out Cameron by saying that the Attorney General, who is Black, “no different than the sellout negros that sold our people into slavery.”

Megan also performed “Don’t Stop” by Young Thug.
