‘The Voice’ coaches find clever ways to stay social distant during Season 19’s The Blind Auditions

The Voice Masks

The Voice returns tonight with the Blind Auditions for Season 19. Gwen Stefani returns to “The Voice” coach chair replacing Nick Jonas. While it may be business as usual with the contestants, coaches Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton, John Legend, and Kelly Clarkson have come up with lever ways to stay socially distant to the contestants who choose them.

Blake, who has won The Voice 7 times, has made life-size cardboard cut out of himself, complete with a mask for contestants to hug and “interact” with.

Kelly, who is known for her infamous Team Kelly jackets, has a smart way to hand them to members of her team. The singer and talk show host has a trunk converted into a closet so that each contestant can pick out their Team Kelly jacket off stage on their way backstage see Carson and speak to their family who is there virtually to offer their love and support.

John, is a little more laid back. He ‘shakes’ the contestants hand with a rubber glove over an extended stick that looks to be 6 feet long

Gwen is passing out her Team Gwen t-shirts in an explosive way using a t-shirt gun. Some times her aim is off and the shirts don’t quite reach the stage. Then its John’s gloved extended hand to rescue. Gwen places the abandoned t–shirt on the extended hand to welcome her new contestant to her team.

The Voice” airs Mondays and Tuesdays on NBC.
