Cam Anthony Wins ‘The Voice’

Season 20 of The Voice has come to an end and the winner has been named during the two-hour live season finale on Tuesday, May 25.

Coaches Blake SheltonKelly Clarkson, Nick Jonas and John Legend  were on hand to root for their finalists. Cam Anthony, the 19 singer from Team Blake was crowned the winner on the live telecast . Kenzie Wheeler from Team Kelly was the runner up. Jordan Matthew Young  also from Team Blake finished in third place. Rachel Mac from Team Nick who finished in fourth place and Victor Solomon from Team Legend finished in fifth place.

Anthony was a fan favorite who proved himself week after week. Shelton told him on air that he could be the first real superstar to come from the show. Last week Anthony performed a powerful rendition of “It’s So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday,” initially sung by Motown artist G.C. Cameron in the 70s, before it was remade and became a worldwide hit in the 90’s by R&B group Boyz II Men. That secured his place in the finale.

On Monday’s performance show, Anthony showed his versatility with his first performance of “Stand Up” by Cynthia Erivo from the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack from the movie “Harriet’. His second performance was “Wanted Dead Or Alive” from the rock band Bon Jovi.

Each coach also took the stage to perform with their finalists. Shelton and Anthony performed ” She Drives Me Crazy” by Fine Young Cannibals. Shelton and Jordan Matthew Young performed ” All My Exs Live in Texas” by George Strait.

Kelly Clarkson and Kenzie Wheeler joined forces on “When You Say Nothing At All” by Keith Whitley.

Nick Jonas and Rachel Mac performed “Best of You” by The Foo Fighters.

John Legend and Victor Solomon performed “Someday We’ll All Be Free” by Donny Hathaway.

Other performances including Justin Bieber, Maroon 5, Snoop Dogg with DJ Battlecat, Gwen Stefani ft. Saweetie, Thomas Rhett, OneRepublic, Lauren Daigle, Ben Platt, and Kelsea Ballerina.

Justin Bieber performed a medley of his hits “Peaches” and “Hold On.”

Adam Levine returns to “The Voice” for its 10-year anniversary with Maroon 5 to perform their latest single, “Beautiful Mistakes”.

Season 20 Mega Mentor Snoop Dogg and DJ Battlecat performed “Sittin on Blades” from his album, “From Tha Streets 2 Tha Suites.”

Gwen Stefani performed her latest single, “Slow Clap,” featuring  Saweetie.

Thomas Rhett performed his new single “Country Again” from his album, “Country Again: Side A.”

OneRepublic performed their single “Run.”  from their upcoming album, “Human”.

Lauren Daigle performed her new single “Hold On to Me.

Actor and musician Ben Platt performed his new single “Imagine.

Kelsea Ballerini returned to “The Voice” after representing Team Kelly in the Battles and performed her latest hit single “Half of My Hometown” that features singer Kenny Chesney from h“kelsea.” Finalist Kenzie Wheeler joined her performing Chesney’s versus.

The Voice returns for Season 21 in September. Ariana Grande will join the coaching team of Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson and John Legend and host Carson Daly.
