Girl Named Tom, featuring siblings Caleb (26), Joshua (24) and Bekah (20) Liechty from Pettisville, Ohio, and currently living in South Bend, Indiana, were crowned the champions of “The Voice” tonight.

Girl Named Tom faced tough competition from the other finalists – Hailey Mia, also from Team Kelly, Wendy Moten and Paris Winningham from Team Blake, and Jershika Maple from Team Legend.

In their Blind Audition, the trio, known for their harmonies, earned a four-chair turn from all coaches for their rendition of “Helplessly Hoping” by Crosby, Stills & Nash. The siblings chose Kelly Clarkson as their coach. They went on to win their Battle Round with a performance of “Seven Bridges Road” by the Eagles and then their Knockout Round as well with their interpretation of “Wichita Lineman” by Glen Campbell.

During the live rounds, Girl Named Tom stepped out of their spot in the folk genre to take on Coldplay’s iconic “Viva la Vida.” They secured a spot in the Top 5 with a stunning cover of Joni Mitchell’s “River.”

On Monday night’s telecast, Girl Named Tom once again performed two timeless classics – “Baby Now That I’ve Found You” by The Foundations and “The Chain” by Fleetwood Mac.

On tonight’s finale, Caleb, Joshua and Bekah were joined on stage by Clarkson for a cover of “Leave Before You Love Me” by Marshmello and the Jonas Brothers.

Girl Named Tom is the first act in the 21 seasons of “The Voice” to have four of their songs in the iTunes Top 10 at the same time. In addition, the group reached #1 twice on the main iTunes Top 200 chart with “River,” and “The Chain.” “Hits From the Road,” the group’s self-titled album that was released in February, is currently #17 on the iTunes Top Albums chart, making them the first act in the show’s history to have songs also charting in the Top 200 from their own self-released album.

Girl Named Tom was the #1 most-viewed act on YouTube this season, with 8.9 million collective views.

Hailing from a small town, this sibling trio was initially homeschooled where music became a big part of their curriculum. They enrolled in piano lessons at a young age and joined theater once they started attending public school. Despite their artistic upbringing, they all planned to become doctors, but things changed when their father was diagnosed with a rare cancer in 2017. When Bekah finished high school and the boys finished college, their father’s prognosis was still unknown, so they decided to spend more time as a family and formed their trio in 2019. Girl Named Tom is grateful for the chance to bring joy to their family and hopes to make their hometown proud on “The Voice.”

This season the Monday and Tuesday editions of “The Voice” are averaging a 1.1 rating in adults 18-49 and 8.1 million viewers overall in “live plus seven day” averages from Nielsen Media Research. In “live plus same day” Nielsens, “The Voice” is undefeated in 18-49 and total viewers this season in both its Monday and Tuesday timeslots.
