Alanis Morissette and Ed Sheeran to guest judge on ‘American Idol’

American Idol” will air live coast to coast on Sunday, May 7, on ABC. GRAMMY® Award winners Alanis Morissette and Ed Sheeran will join Luke Bryan as “American Idol” guest judges on Sunday, May 7.

Alanis will pull double duty as guest judge and mentor the remaining contestants, who will be performing her songs live on the Idol stage. The finalists will also be teaming up with each other on special duets of Ed Sheeran’s hit songs.

Alanis Morissette and Ed Sheeran will both take the Idol stage to perform. Morissette will perform one of her hits, while Sheeran will give Idol viewers an exclusive performance of his brand-new single.

While judges Katy Perry and Lionel Richie will be in the UK taking part in the historic coronation of King Charles III, they will still be checking into Idol LIVE from Windsor Castle.

American Idol” airs live coast to coast on Sundays.
