“Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage” is another Chuck Lorre vehicle and was a spinoff of “Young Sheldon,” which was a spinoff of “The Big Bang Theory.”
Damon Wayans Jr. from “Poppa’s House” and Max Greenfield from “The Neighborhood” hosted the night and introduced the casts from the new shows. Damon Wayans, Essence Atkins, and Tetona Jackson from “Poppa’s House” offered insights into working on the show. Atkins shared her excitement to work with Damon Sr. since he is one of the few members of the Wayans family she had yet to work with.
From “Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage,” Montana Jordan, Emily Osment, Rachel Bay Jones and Will Sasso talked about performing in front of a live audience, something that was new for Jordan.
On hand from “The Neighborhood,” now entering Season Seven, were Marcel Spears, Sheaun McKinney, and Skye Townsend. The cast introduced a clip of the upcoming season where everyone is adjusting to life with a newborn.
Season Seven of “The Neighborhood” premieres Monday, October 21 followed by the premiere of “Poppa’s House.” “Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage” premieres Thursday, October 17 at 8:00 ET/PT followed by the Season Four premiere of “Ghosts” on CBS.
