‘The Walking Dead’s” Danai Gurira received the Star Power Award at this year’s Black Girl’s Rock ceremony on BET.

The actress and playwright, (Broadway’s “Eclipsed” featuring an all-black cast and crew including Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong’o),is set to play the mother of late rapper Tupac, Afeni Shakur, in the highly anticipated Tupac biopic “All Eyez On Me.”
