In the May 4 episode, original “Idol” judges Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson returned to guest judge and mentor, respectively for the Top 5 – Jordan McCullough, Hannah Harper, Keyla Richardson, Chris Tungseth and Braden Rumfelt – celebrating a “20 year reunion night.”
The first hour of the show featured “Dancing with the Stars” pros Gleb Savchenko, Rylee Arnold, Jan Ravnik, and Witney Carson, who performed while the Idols sang.

Season 5 idols returning were winner Taylor Hicks, Elliott Yamin, Paris Bennett, Kellie Pickler and Bucky Covington who all sang duets with this season’s hopefuls to help decide the final three. Also returning to perform was last year’s winner, Jamal Roberts.

Jordan McCullough performed two showstoppers on the show including “Footprints in the Sand” from Leona Lewis and “A Song For You.”
He later returned to the stage to sing a duet of Donny Hathaway’s “A Song For You” with Elliot Yamin. The performance has the judges on their feet with praise. Luke Bryan has been fan of Jordan’s from the start.
“Jordan, your path, I don’t know if I’ve ever seen from the audition to present right now, no one has made me this big a believer than you,” Luke said after Jordan’s performance. “I mean, I remember where you were from your audition and now…I just see so much in front of you. I see such a bright future and you’re one of the best singers we’ve ever.”
On May 11, its the 3 -hour “American Idol” finale where The Top 3 finalists give their all for the last chance to earn America’s vote. Alicia Keys serves as guest mentor and performer, plus special performances from Brad Paisley, Blues Traveler, Cameron Whitcomb, Clay Aiken, En Vogue, Gin Blossoms, Jason Mraz, Lee Ann Womack, Mötley Crüe, Nelly, Shinedown and Tori Kelly.
